The Location

The castle is situated amidst a beautiful landscaped garden with mature trees, perfect for a relaxing stroll or a picnic on the shoreline. If you wish to venture further a field there's plenty of cultural and natural sights to choose from, as well as various outdoor activities. After a day of sightseeing, you can take a relaxing massage shower before going out to dine in one of the local restaurants. Or you can stay home and snuggle down to watch a film. Please feel free to bring your own DVDs.

The castle has its own private shoreline, which is perfect for barbeques in the long Scottish Summer nights. There is also a jetty for canoes, kayaks and small motor boats.

Loch Lomond offers the visitor a wide variety of dining experiences, from a cosy corner in a rural pub to nouveau cuisine served in a stylish restaurant. Travel north and you will find the historic conservation village of Luss and the Lodge on the Loch Hotel and Restaurant. Other fine restaurants within 5 to 15 minutes walking distance of the castle include the prestigious 5 Star Cameron House Hotel and Country Club, Duck Bay Hotel and Marina, and the Cruin Restaurant.

The location of Loch Lomond Castle Luxury Apartments is also ideal for the outdoor enthusiast, as it is situated in the heart of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.  Enjoy the wildlife and local walks in the Argyll Forest, Glen Finglas and Glen Luss or climb up Ben Bowie (1,028 feet) and Stoneymullen (800 feet). Travel a short distance and you will find the hamlet of Balloch, gateway to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.  Here you will find the National Park Gateway Centre as well as Loch Lomond Shores shopping and visitor centre, including Jenners of Edinburgh.

From Balloch you can take a cruise or hire a canoe for a trip on the loch or even go up in a Seaplane and see Loch Lomond from a bird’s eye view!  There are many forest trails to be explored on foot or by hiring a bike. Loch Lomond Golf Club is also within easy reach, a particular highlight during Barclays Scottish Open held in July each year.
